Highway Beautification Awards
This annual award program is presented by the SFDC to recognize local establishments for their outstanding contributions to Richmond Highway beautification in the form of landscape improvements. This longstanding award was named to honor a community champion and long-serving board member, the late Mary Thonen.
Any establishment that is visible from Richmond Highway is able to participate in the competition. Learn More!
We are a nonprofit economic development organization dedicated to the redevelopment and revitalization of the Richmond Highway Corridor of U.S. Route 1 from the Beltway to Fort Belvoir in Fairfax County, Virginia.
5U.S. Route 1 stretches from Maine to Florida, and was one of the country’s first highways. The Richmond Highway corridor is a 7.5 mile stretch of Route 1 from the Beltway to Fort Belvoir in Fairfax County, Virginia.
