Discussion on Health Care for those with Little or No Insurance on the Richmond Highway Corridor

Where do you go when you or a family member needs physical, dental, or behavioral health care but you have little or no insurance?   What is next for health care in Virginia?

Meet the major health care providers in the Richmond Highway Corridor who help people with little or no insurance. Hear the latest on health care policy in Virginia from Sen. George Barker, a health policy expert and member of the state Education and Health committee.

The panel discussion will be Wednesday April 19, 1-3 pm, South County Center, 8350 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22309, 2nd floor conference room,  sponsored by the South County Task Force for Health and Human Services.

Panelists are Sen. George Barker; Dr. Basim Khan of Neighborhood Health, which provides medical, dental, and behavioral health care on a sliding fee scale; Fadi Saadeh  of Inova’s  Simplicity health clinics;  Glynis Laborde of the Community Health Care Network; Susan Fay, Clinic Manager of the  Mount Vernon District Office of the Fairfax County Health Department; and Pouneh Zeraat of the Gartlan Center regarding mental health services.
